Okay now this is try number two
I heard you say you're dating
but I haven't forgotten you
indeed it feels like waiting
for a better day to come
because the more that I see you
the more I come undone
I read my words to you
written in frenzied haste
and though they still ring true
they cry to me of waste
I feel a certain kinship
that may not really be there
but your ways just seem to grip
me with an extra bit of care
I suppose I must pretend
that it never came to this
a feeling you just send
a feeling akin to bliss
I thank you for the scenes
however brief they be
but whisper of the fiends
that you let consume me
I must stand aside
for your present lover's state
but nothing can hope to hide
and nothing can abate
the emotions you invoke
when I find us standing there
with words we've left unspoke
and a hope you really care.
