Fragments of Miami
in Armistead's Waking Dream
have awoken
once again, it is good to walk the streets of the place I built
once again. . . I cannot believe that they turned against me,
that I lost it. . . it will be mine again.
Ah, Mavis, Michel, what are you doing, what is it that you want now.
. . no matter, you will serve me once again. . .
Damn, that is Carlos, what is it, Carlos Alvarez, such will, such perserverance,
I had hoped he would be no longer. . .
And Joseph Klein, you seem without life, what has happened, where is
the fire of your spirit. . .
I cannot find Inez, oh, I hear she had secluded herself in Virginia
Key, does she shun the company of everyone?
Where is the old Brujah soldier? Should I approach him, he seemed
a malcontent, perhaps he is unhappy with the new regime. . .
The Brujah are moving, what is wrong, might they be trouble, or might
they be in trouble. . . ?
Theodore, Ingrid, the amusing childer of anarchy. . . how my childe
seems drawn to her. . .
Joshua Hyfitz, you bastard, you have presumed too much, you think to
take my place while I sleep, you think I will not rise again. . . you think
the Sabbat can take one such as I, beware, I am returned. . . you will
reign for such a short time, I will rid myself of you and your Ventrue
cronies. . .
The Chantry, Tremere up to their old tricks, who's Alex, I see Tobias
Knight, a new chantry, why?
Something brews in Palm Beach, is it the Sabbat, Are the Nosferatu still
here?
Why did I fall to these brutes? They are so unrefined, so shallow
and mad. . . I think that is Hector Delgado, is this what he calls freedom
now?
The
Snakes still run Little Haiti, I see, Genevieve, oh, Genevieve,
where are you? Are you still here? Was that one of
them, the lurching, the dead gaze, there is no smell of life though,
yes it is, the zombies, Dr. Albert must be here still. I
hear that Mitch Pendleton has been spotted in Little Haiti, how
useful. . .
Juan, the Myth, might he be here somewhere, can I turn him upon the
Setites once again? It is said that he once bested them. . .
