Medium Wondrous Items

Paper Tiger

Description: In their search for the perfect order the monks who follow Hedrada the Lawgiver sometimes engage in artistic pursuits designed to understand the illusory nature of reality. The delicately crafted holy rice papers that a few obscure monasteries press have been endowed with a miraculous power to turn the visions of the artisan into reality. Usually 1d6 sheets are found carefully protected in a scroll case.

Powers: A pertinent Craft or Profession roll used to perform the dedicated skill of origami, or paper artistry, with a DC of 15 activates the delicate rice paper. A failed roll destroys the sheet. A successful use of the paper activates a Shades spell and duplicates the effect of a conjuration spell as normal, creating a creature or image appropriate to the shape crafted. Unlike normal castings of the spell, the paper bound illusion remains until some force successfully damages the paper figurine itself for at least 1 point of damage. The illusion may never stray more than 20 feet from the folded paper image.
