Exalted Calendar

I have long had an Exalted calendar in PDF form posted for download on my site. In recent months, however, my thoughts on the calendar have undergone an evolution.

My current thoughts are this:

Each of the fifteen calendar months begins with the night of the new moon. The half moon therefore falls on the 8th evening of every month, while the full moon falls on the 15th evening of every month. The last day of the month is the final stage of the waning crescent moon.

This results in Calibration, which is also moonless, consisting of five days immediately followed by the first new moon of the year.

As such, how might a commoner tell the five nights of Calibration from the first night of the new year?

Simple. The nights of Calibration are also starless, with the sky being a frightening blank slate of darkness.

Then, the first night of the new year remains moonless, but the stars return in all of their glory.

I hope that a polished version of these thoughts will survive editing long enough to appear in an official Exalted book sometime in early 2007.

I also host a download file which is a PDF version of my calendar.
