ONEIROMANCY: Waking Circle: Signal Arrow Charms:Assumption of Wood Shape, Hound of Land and Seas This spell allows the Five Kingdoms Bandit to create a rather unique and odd looking wooden arrow with the magical ability to home in on himself no matter where he is--provided he is within the waypoint limit of the bow that it is fired from (creation bows are considered to have a waypoint limit of 5 for the purposes of this spell). These arrows cannot be used to attack the Five Kingdoms Bandit in any way, they are merely convenient tools for people to send messages to him. The Bandit can only make arrows that home in on himself with this spell, and makes only one arrow at a time. These arrows fade away at the end of the story if they are unused by then. Dreaming Circle: Desire Circle: Samadhi Circle: Four Years Wandering Charms: Undetectable Lie, Assumption of the Living Kingdom The chosen lie, which is applied universally across the entire kingdom, is "If you are not part of the Five Kingdoms Bandit's ring or merry men, it takes you four times as long to cross the distances in this land then it normally should." Normally this would provoke a glamour resistance of Wits + Essence versus the Bandit's Maiden's Manipulation of 7, but because this is a Samadhi Circle Spell, characters must use a stunt or a charm to benefit from the Glamour resistance. The Undetectable Lie portion may still be resisted for five willpower per story. This spell lasts for one year per casting. Shinma Circle: Eyes on the Prize Charms: Curse of Definition, Assumption of the Living Kingdom This spell, which lasts a century per casting, causes all who travel with the affected region to automatically fail at the designated action "Conceal my most valuable possession from the Five Kingdoms Bandit." unless the character incorporates a stunt or a charm into the action. Even when he does, he suffers a -2 external penalty on the roll. Normally there would be glamour resistance of Wits + Essence versus the Bandit's Stealth (which is boosted from Unassailable Tower of Stealth), but because this is a Shinma Circle Spell, a character must use a stunt or a charm to benefit from the glamour resistance. This particular Oneiromancy spell is the Bandit's own Cup Grace and so he is permanently attuned for free. |

NOTES: The Five Kingdoms Bandit has entered an Oath with his Maiden as per Oath Gossamer "To tax the roads of the Kingdoms of the Sun as long as they and the roads exist." granting the Bandit additional gossamer every time he does exactly that. When people pay the fair and just tax imposed on them for traveling on his roads, the Five Kingdoms Bandit incumbers the waypoints along the path that the honest taxpayers are travelling through from a safe distance. The chosen incumbrance is "Those who enter this waypoint must immediately journey to the next waypoint." In this manner, honest taxpayers can reliably cover an average of thirty miles per scene across the Bandit's roads. Anyone entering such a incumbered waypoint is entitled to a reflexive perception + awareness roll to notice the incumbrance upon the waypoint--but they will merely learn that the Bandit is helping them travel swiftly across his roads. The Bandit re-incumbers the waypoints to remove his assistance as the traveling parties leave them. The Bandit uses Perfect Reckoning Technique to locate people traveling through his roads who are late on their taxes which are extremely fair and just. The Bandit's Charms Bastion of the Self (Sword) is its respective permanent mutation version. The Bandit permanently and perpetually benefits from the effects of that charm for free in any shape he takes and it cannot be taken away from him by any means other than the charm: Spirit-Flaying Meditation The Five Kingdoms Bandit's main shape includes: Assumption of Dreams and Passion (Rebelliousness) 1g, Unassailable Tower of Stealth (Gives the Five Kingdoms Bandit an additional 2 points of stealth for purposes of Glamour Resistance) 2g, Perfect Reckoning Technique 0g, Hound of Land and Seas 1g, World-Devouring Warlord Stance 0g, Imposition of Law 2g The Five Kingdoms Bandit's Fey beast is a monkey with the stats of the hobgoblin lorekeeper attuned to it (p. 286) with the following mutations. 2mp Imposition of Law (Dexterity + Larceny + Theivery), 2mp Imposition of Law (Dexterity + Stealth + From Above), 2mp Long-Arm Technique (permits the monkey to stretch his arms and legs by two yards each. When stretching legs by two yards, increase monkey's move and dash by two yards) |
