I wanted to introduce myself
but not scare you away
because your beauty must induce
this reaction every day
and surely you must tire
of the drunken passersby
but still you struck me so
that I just had to try
to think of something wonderful
that maybe I could say
to convince you to meet me
in the middle of the day
Anona, I don't  know you
more than a temporary meeting
but still you have touched me
never mind just how fleeting
the moment of contact
for yes it has been far too brief
but still it has been powerful
and I can only plead relief...
I am flattered that you
even remembered me
now if only you would consider
the most hopeful possibility
that you might just
enjoy this little rhyme
and decide to let us have a try
at what people often call quality time.
