Everything is about freedom and slavery. Even the process of getting well when one is sick is an exploration of the contest between the two. Obviously the mind is bound in a body that is suffering great pain. But when one sleeps the mind is freed to travel to strange and better places. Usually when one stays home from work, though sick, he could actually successfully do some sort of task, but the chains forged by the necessities of the job would keep the mind from escaping the pain. Forced to focus on a specific task in service to another, the mind will resent the requirements placed upon it. Rather than the escape of the restful mind, one will focus on the agonies of moving an arm just so or keeping one's face from showing his inner pains in a charade that only becomes more difficult because to some degree the furthering of one's pain will be due to their audience.
